DAVAO CITY - More than 30 families affected by two separate fire incidents received immediate relief assistance from First Congressional District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte’s office over the weekend.

The First Congressional District Office noted nine families, or a total of 36 individuals, were affected by a fire incident at Purok 6-A, Bago Inigo, Barangay Bago Gallera here on February 11, Saturday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 22 families, or 99 individuals, were displaced to the evacuation site due to another fire incident at Purok 20, Lower Sangilangan, Barangay Maa, on February 12, Sunday afternoon.

Following the two incidents, Rep. Duterte’s office vowed to provide lunch packs and dinner packs for the affected families for five days.

Rep. Duterte, through his son Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, and the First District Office staff immediately responded to the evacuation site to provide relief assistance such as food packs, malong, a pack of lunch and dinner, and cash assistance.

Each recipient – house owners, sharers, renters, and boarders – received assistance through the first son of the lawmaker. Rigo facilitated the distribution of the goods and cash on behalf of his father, who was at the Congress.

Rep. Duterte said that if there are affected, individuals with health concerns could also seek medical support from his office. The First Congressional District Office has provided relief assistance to anyone needing timely aid.
