DAVAO CITY – At least three families affected by a fire incident in Barangay Maa here received food and cash assistance on Wednesday, August 14, from the Office of the First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte.

Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte, on behalf of his father, led the distribution of food packs (canned goods, bottled water, and other essentials) and cash assistance to the families affected by the incident four days ago. 

According to the Davao City Fire District, two houses were damaged by a fire in Maa on August 11 at around 1 a.m. One of the homeowners sustained burns on the chest. He was immediately brought to a nearby hospital.

The fire district reported that the estimated damage was around P20,000. Its personnel were already investigating the cause of the fire incident and constantly reminding the public to remain cautious.

Rep. Duterte’s office will also provide relief and cash assistance to the fire victims in Catalunan Pequeño this week. The First Congressional District Office has been providing relief assistance to anyone needing timely aid.
