DAVAO CITY – Over 500 members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations from nine barangays here received relief aid from the Office of First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte amid the celebration of the 39th Kadayawan Festival.

Rodrigo “Rigo” Duterte II, representing his father, led the distribution of the 300 food packs with sweatshirts and 400 personalized t-shirts to tricycle drivers and operators in barangays 8-A and 12-B, respectively, on Thursday, August 15.

The first district office also distributed on Tuesday, August 13, 200 packs of rice with sweatshirts and 400 personalized t-shirts to drivers and operators at Central Park Bangkal and in barangays Talomo Proper, Bago Gallera, Puan, Matina Aplaya, Catalunan Pequeño and Cataluna Grande.

Rigo said the first district office assisted these drivers and operators to meet basic needs during challenging times. He added that tricycle drivers rely on daily earnings to support their families, and disruptions in their work could leave them without a stable income.

The lawmaker’s son, who recognized the TODA’s role in society, thanked them for their endless support to Congressman Duterte and the Duterte family. He also assured everyone that his family would continue providing immediate assistance and services, especially those in need.
