DAVAO CITY - A total of 36 senior citizens in Barangay Matina Aplaya received on Thursday, August 11, medical assistance from the office of the First Congressional District Representative Paolo Duterte.

The young congressman's son, Rodrigo "Rigo" Duterte II, led the distribution of the vitamins and medicines for the elderly's maintenance. The office also facilitated a free check-up at the health center in the same barangay.

The First Congressional District Office then distributed cash assistance for the qualified elderly in Matina Aplaya. The cash distribution went smoothly as they had already prepared the list of names of the beneficiaries.

Rep. Duterte said that the support given to the elderly is one way to help alleviate the effects of the pandemic and the increasing prices of commodities, especially for senior citizens and those in need.
